Met Adam for lunch in #Koenji and then checked out the little side streets selling vintage everything, a quieter quaint version of Portobello Market.
Headed over to Akihabhara district, the techie geek area which is jamming with kids shopping for everything gaming and tech imaginable!
Evening was a pre-release party for ‘Lowlife Love’ and also a birthday bash for the director Uchida Eiji, at Good Heavens British pub. Adam was DJ’ing when we arrived and the place was already packed. Charming eclectic bar covered from floor to ceiling with film, music and largely British memorabilia! Served a decent pint and good shepherds pie (said John)! Totally international group of peeps, mostly local of course, but groups of Swiss, French – including Adam’s London housemate and business assistant Claire, various Brits, Americans …
We were introduced to so many people that we couldn’t possibly remember all their names!
Adam was definitely in his element and quite the center of attention, especially by many Japanese young women. Great time all round.
Sadly had to head out before his next DJ set as very early departure from Tokyo in the am.
There are too many photos, but my mum wants every image I can capture of her grandson!
